The local Distribution Networks (owned by Distribution Network Operators – DNOs) take power from the National Grid and distribute it to end users. DNOs charge suppliers under published tariffs for distribution use of system (DUoS), which the suppliers aim to recover from their customers. These charges go towards the operation, maintenance and development of the UK’s electricity distribution networks and may be visible on the energy bill, or built into contracted rates.
Who can join?
Industrial and Commercial businesses who possess a Half-hourly (HH) electricity meter. Any business users with DUoS charges should consider this service.
